Patient Engagement Event: Change to GP service - transfer to Saltdean and Rottingdean Medical Practice

St Luke's Surgery, Saltdean, is holding an engagement event in person at St Luke’s Surgery, Saltdean, for patients to hear directly from the surgery about the upcoming changes to GP services, with the opportunity to ask questions.

This event is particularly for patients who are unable to access the online meeting (please see details on our website). Spaces are limited due to social distancing so please book your place now through Eventbrite, or contact the surgery directly for a staff member to book your place.

Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19. As this is an NHS building, attendees will be asked to wear a facemask unless they are exempt from wearing one. We also encourage anyone attending to carry out a lateral flow test before arriving, though this is not mandatory – only optional.

Event information:

We are holding an engagement event to directly inform patients about the upcoming changes to your GP services, which will ensure you continue to receive high quality primary care now and in the future.

As you may already be aware, St Luke’s Surgery does not have a permanent GP. After careful consideration, Sussex Primary Care, which currently runs St Luke’s Surgery, has taken the decision to transfer all St Luke’s patients to Saltdean and Rottingdean Medical Practice.

Saltdean and Rottingdean Medical Practice is located in the same building as St Luke’s at Grand Ocean in Longridge Avenue, so you will continue to receive care in the same location.

You do not need to do anything; your registration will automatically transfer over, as will your patient records. This will take place on Wednesday 1 June 2022.

As a patient at Saltdean and Rottingdean Medical Practice, you will be able to receive care from the permanent GPs based at Saltdean surgery. You will also have a choice of male and female GPs and access to a wider range of services.

St Luke’s practice is open and, from now until the transfer, you will continue to be able to access appointments. Please bear with us while we undertake this transition process.
